Ahiritola Youth Swimming Club formally known as Ahiritola Swimming Club established on 1885, We are one of the pioneer aquatic sports organization not only Bengal throughout India also. We have promoted a good numbers of swimmers and water polo players of National and International standard in the past. Besides we engage ourselves in various philanthropic activities throughout the year.

In the year of 1975, we reformed the club in the name of Ahiritola Youth Swimming Club and since then we have been organizing All India 14 Kms long distance swimming competition in the river Hooghly, with a view to promote the swimmers of this event in international level. Smt. Bula Chowdhury, Masudur Rahaman Baidya, Rasmi Sharma, Amrita Das of West Bengal and Mayur J. Mehta, Taranath Shenoy, of Maharashtra participated in this swimming competition several years before achieving their international laurels. The 41st occasion of All India 14 Kms long distance swimming competition will be held on 20th December 2015 at the river Hooghly. We are also the organizer of All Bengal ArnikaPlus Open Water Polo Tournaments. We need one swimming pool for proper practice of our swimmers and water polo players. We want to construct the swimming pool beside our club premises 16/2A Strand Bank Road, near Ahiritola Launch Ghat. For constructions of swimming pool we need more than rupees 50,00,000/- (fifty lakh only). Hence, we request all concern of people for extending their helping hand by providing donations to our swimming pool fund as well as All India Swimming Competition Fund, by sending draft or cheque in favour of “Ahiritola Youth Swimming Club” at 16/2A Strand Bank Road, Kolkata-700 006, near Ahiritola Ferry Ghat, your generous contribution will be highly appreciated.
